Jan Preston – Boogie Piano Player

Hey thanks Jan,

You guys were great! It was awesome to see such talent in Gisborne and you had us both spell bound and entertained.

I loved the story and the use of the familiar jingle that is the chime of our own town clock – that was brilliant.
Also, the “story by drums” by your German drummer, was awesome – we all had lots of fun and I hope our
Gissie heat wave was not enough to deter you from coming on back.

We’ll have some video up here in the next few days guys so please do come and check that out and in the meantime if you’d like to leave a comment and a word of appreciation, we’ll be sure to forward it on to Jan.

December 2010

Happy Christmas and a very happy New Years for all blues lovers in Gisborne!

December gig was awesome – arguably still recovering from too much of the “Gizzie Green” on the night, should know by now not to change horses mid stream but the beer was tasting good at the time and it seemed like a great way to see out the end of what had been a bloody long year for a lot of people – myself included.

Blues music is very much alive and well in Gisborne and we look forward to the opportunity to share and enjoy throughout 2011 and beyond!

August 3rd 2010

Another rainy but entertaining blues club Tuesday night jam session.

The weather once again did not deter both muso’s, club members and public coming down and enjoying some entertainment – blues style.

If anyone captures photos or vids they’d like to share – please feel free to pass them on, the more content the better!

Hey all,

A thousand apologies for the delay in getting the past few months of content up here – it’s been a busy time for me

and parts of my life have been looking like a great blues track in the making….

Not worry – there’s a bunch of stuff to look though and some upcoming events in gissie that will be great fun.

Ladies Night!

A great line up of performances including 7 female performers across the night!

Wonderful time had by all, some quality acts and a few people appearing on stage for their first time!

Here’s a few photo’s to enjoy – and a few vids that we captured on the night. Not too many at the end were very usable (sorry) – due to the fact the camera girl had had a few too many gizzy greens and enjoyed
singing along with some of the songs….
